Winners - 2023 Plein Air Festival "Quick Draw"!

Jeff Charlesworth's art work in oils, cold wax and mixed media reflect new ways of looking, new media and evolv-ing ways of expression. While his art subjects may recall his earlier work, their expression may be more suggestive, looser, and more abstract in form. He finds much inspira-tion in the local landscapes and gardens of the Delaware Valley. His media include oil paints, the drawn line, and cold wax on canvas, paper, and wood panels. 

Jeff's art work has been on show at the on-going exhibition with the Painters Collective at the Linseed Mill in at Pralls-ville Mill, in Stockton, NJ. In the past, his work has been shown at Phillips Mill in New Hope, Stover Mill, the Tradi-tional Artists Show in Doylestown / Bucks County, The Ellarsie Open in Trenton, the Philadelphia Sketch Club and Callaway Henderson Sotheby's in Lambertville. 

A landscape architect by profession in his own practice Charlesworth Fleischacker Landscape Architects, Jeff trans-lates his eye for color and design into lush four-season gar-dens. The firm's practice specializes in sustainable and re-generative landscapes that integrate landscape, nature and architecture. Their designs in residential, school and com-mercial landscapes have received state and regional awards. They have designed and installed gardens throughout the US and in Italy. Jeff teaches landscape de-sign, planting design and graphics at Delaware Valley Uni-versity in Doylestown, PA. He has taught drawing work-shops at the Barnes Arboretum, American University and at the School of Environmental Sciences & Forestry, Syra-cuse University.
